We’ll take you to the south westernmost tip of Africa,
where a ruggedly beautiful combination of mountain and sea offers
wildlife such as Cape Mountain Zebra, Chacma Baboons, Springbok,
Bontebok and Eland.
We’ll show you the famous penguin colony at Boulders Beach
where we’ll observe the birds nesting and preening from
a boardwalk. Even better for the kids is the possibility to
get close to the penguins on intimate Boulders Beach, as they
frolic in the sand and waves.

The entire Cape coast is dotted with islands where the Cape
Fur Seal breeds. We are lucky to have one really close to the
shore and we’ll take you on a short boat trip to see them
in their thousands.
The world’s largest bird lives right on our doorstep.
When you visit the farm, you can test this bird’s amazing
strength by sitting on its back or standing on its eggs.

You don’t need to go far from Cape Town to experience
big game. We can take you on a one-day safari, a two hour
drive from Cape
Town. You’ll be treated to a game drive where you’ll
see giraffe, rhino, lions, zebra, springbok and lots more.
It’s not often kids get the chance to touch or hold
a raptor. We’ll take you to a bird of prey rehabilitation
and falconry centre where this is possible. Next door, there’s
a cheetah park where the brave few can get close to these
wild cats.

It’s an unforgettable experience to go into the 100
walk through enclosures with thousands of birds and small
animals. There’s a Monkey Jungle where kids come face
to face with some very affectionate squirrel monkeys.

This outing is a must for all families who visit Cape Town
because kids of all ages are kept occupied while parents enjoy
the many exhibits at leisure. For the young ones there’s
a touch pool and an activity centre, for 8-12’s there’s
a behind-the-scenes tour of the Aquarium.

The Cape coast is world famous for sightings of large numbers
of whales from June to November. Each year, Southern Right
and Humpback whales can be sighted as they migrate to our
coastal waters to calve and nurse their young. Dolphins can
also be seen at various times of the year. We’ll find
the best whale watching viewpoints, on land or sea, to give
families an unforgettable experience.

Families should not miss a visit to Cape Town’s world
renowned Botanical Gardens, in spectacular setting on the
slopes of Table Mountain. We’ll make sure every member
of the family has fun. For big kids, it can be the starting
point of a short hike on the mountain. For smaller kids, there
are sprawling lawns, clear mountain streams and trees for
climbing. Come time to relax, we’ll picnic or lunch
in a restaurant while soaking in the awesome beauty of the
Gardens’ 4000 unique, indigenous plant species.

Following winter rains (Aug,Sept), the bleak West Coast veld
is transformed into one of nature’s most brilliant floral
displays. We’ll drive you there to enjoy this sight
and lay out a picnic on a floral carpet.

Fancy a tractor ride in a Game Reserve? We’ll take you
on an unusual family outing to a game reserve where buffaloes
are bred as well as other wildlife that was once was found
in the Cape.
This is a sanctuary for captive bred lions where families
get a safe view of the animals from an aerial catwalk.

Children and Adults are enchanted when we show them the largest
butterfly park in Africa, where you can walk among the butterflies
that fly freely in a beautiful covered garden.

We can show you some of the many hundreds of bird species
in Cape Town, from the fynbos-loving sugar bird and sunbird
to wetland birds like flamingoes and pelicans. Spot them on
foot or from a hide.

The Cape has its own floral kingdom called fynbos with thousands
of unique species found only in this area. You’ll be
bowled over when you see the variety of Proteas, Pincushions,
Geraniums and lots more.
